About Me

My name is Carolenys Tovar, a Venezuelan-Canadian Fantasy Flora multimedia artist and Expressive Arts Therapist.

My creative practice bridges inner landscapes toward a collective experience, offering immersive spaces of emotional resonance that invite the spirit to pause, the eye to wander and the imagination to wonder.

I am drawn to the energy of effervescence: an animating life force that moves through my work and reflects my experience of the world as vibrant, interconnected and in constant becoming. This sensibility speaks to a cadence carried in my Being, deeply connected to my Venezuelan heritage. An embodied rhythm that shapes how I move, create and engage with this living experience.

Rooted in experimental mark-making and the intentional shaping of emerging forms, my practice reflects the aesthetic abundance of the natural world through rich, layered detail, forming a distinctive and playful visual language.

Working across media, my process unfolds through accumulative dot-to-dot and trace-to-trace impulses, bringing forth interwoven ecosystems within a dreamscape where countless “tinies” gather to form the immense.

Patterns emerge and dissolve in subtle rhythmic interplay, exploring themes of belonging, interconnectedness and transformation. My work evokes a contemplative yet communal vitality, reflecting a relational universe grounded in both introspection and connection.
